Wings of Soulrise is crafted from the outer sector of a three-hundred-year-old oak. Two mirrored fragments form a pair of wings, with the shamash rising gently between them. Four candles rest on each wing, transforming the piece into a Hanukkiah where light unfolds like the ascent of the soul.
The natural curvature of the oak preserves its character, while soft gold and wax highlight the depth of the centuries it has lived through. When the candles are lit, the wings create a sense of elevation, echoing the tradition in which light always ascends.
The base, carved from the same ancient wood, unites the composition into a single form — like a rooted memory carrying its quiet blessing forward.
The wood comes from three-hundred-year-old oaks that grew in the historic lands where Napoleon passed during his 1812 campaign and wrote a letter to Josephine.
