Shabbat Shalom
Dimensions: 12 x 12 x 18 in
Weight: 20 lbs

The sculpture is made from a piece of dry oak about 300 years old (confirmed by a certificate). On the unique shape of the preserved part of the tree, candles are installed on stands in the form of traditional Jewish hats. The base of the sculpture is made in the form of a symbolic Torah, created from solid oak. All elements create an effect of lightness and solemnity.

In the places where these trees grew, namely on the border of the Moscow and Kaluga regions, significant historical events took place. Here, the Russian troops fought with Bonaparte Napoleon, of which these trees certainly witnessed, given their century-old age. Also, the defense of Moscow took place here in the fall of 1941.

The works, lovingly created from centuries-old oaks, carry the incredible energy of three centuries. Lit candles enhance the perception many times, emphasizing the uniqueness of the art work, which deeply reflects the symbolism and traditions of Judaism, combining spirituality and modern artistic vision.
