Old Jewish Prayer Book (Hanukkiah)

"A commandment is a candle, and the Torah is light."

This creation springs from the fallen trunk of an ancient, desiccated oak. Wings, carved from the trunk's enduring outer part, frame a central disc cut from a single slice, where the six-pointed Star of David, a symbol of Judaism, is engraved, capable of full 360-degree rotation. All this rests upon the foundation of foundations—the "Torah," itself hewn from a singular piece of the age-old oak. On the wings, eight candles are set at a uniform level, while the central section, bearing the Star of David, hosts a ninth, elevated candle.

The Hanukkah candles stand as beacons of hope, their light piercing the darkness, reminding us of faith's significance and the triumph of good over evil. Lighting these candles dispels the shadows, bringing warmth and light into homes and hearts, while the flickering candle flames conjure a sense of tranquility and peace.
