This artwork is made from a part of the trunk of a 300-year-old oak, which witnessed events in Russia in 1812, specifically the passage of Napoleon Bonaparte’s troops through this area, as evidenced by historical records and numerous artifacts. In the autumn of 1941, this was the site of the defense of Moscow.

The piece radiates an incredible energy from three centuries. It has been part of many exhibitions.
