This work is crafted from the outer part of the trunk of an ancient, desiccated oak tree. It symbolizes the interconnectedness of everything in the world and the transition from one state to another. In its utterly natural form, one can discern a whimsical fish. In a crevice, as if in the depth of a scene, branches of gilded corals and candles are placed, mystically illuminating the space. This piece combines all the elements: water through the corals, earth through the wood, fire through the candles, and air, uniting all elements. The wood's surface has been treated with wax and gilding.
