The sculpture is made of dry oak about 300 years old (confirmed by a certificate). The "wings" are made from the surviving outer part of the trunk, and the rotating disk with the image of the Double-Headed Eagle on one side and St. George the Victorious on the other is made from a cut of the upper part of the trunk. Candles are located on the "wings" showing their flapping in flight. All elements create solemnity and lightness.
The sculpture is installed on a symbolic book made of solid oak. Incredible historical events took place in the places where these trees grew, namely on the border of the Moscow and Kaluga regions. Here, battles between Russian troops and Bonaparte Napoleon took place, and these trees certainly witnessed them, given their age.
The defense of Moscow in the autumn of 1941 also took place here. The works, lovingly created from centuries-old oaks, carry the incredible energy of three centuries. Lit candles greatly enhance the perception, emphasizing the uniqueness of the art work, which deeply reflects the symbolism and traditions of Judaism, combining spirituality and modern artistic vision.
